Life in Singapore: Where Your Private Life Thrives

Hello!

This is Ono

Although most of us focus on work more than anything else, our private life is equally important, isn’t it?

In Singapore, the hub of Southeast Asia, work-life balance is well-supported, and there are also plenty of opportunities for a fulfilling private life.

In this article, I’d like to share the appeal of enjoying a rich personal life in Singapore.

Singapore: A City with a Multitude of International Cuisines

Japanese Cuisine in Singapore

Singapore offers a wide variety of international cuisine, including Chinese, Indian, Turkish, Italian, and French options, as well as Japanese fare.

While the prices are slightly higher, you can choose from a variety of establishments depending on the occasion. These range from casual bars where you can go with friends or colleagues to restaurants suitable for business meetings or entertaining guests.

The food at hawker centers, where locals frequently dine, is also delicious, with each stall offering its own unique flavors. However, when you get tired of local food, the wide variety of dining options available is one of Singapore’s great attractions!

Time to Enjoy Sports!

In Singapore, there are sports clubs for just about every activity, including tennis, soccer, marathon running, basketball, and rugby.

Tennis courts are available in many condominiums (mainly where expats live), and they are easy to use and low-cost. Many people start playing tennis after moving to Singapore, and it’s enjoyed by people of all ages.

Marathons are also popular, with various events held about once a month.

Personally, I’ve participated in two full marathons. Since it’s Southeast Asia, running is quite hot , but the flat paths along the rivers and near the sea make for an easy run. It’s an ideal sport for those who feel they’re lacking exercise lately.

In addition to local events, there are competitions between Southeast Asian countries. These events are held in places like Vietnam and Thailand, offering a chance to enjoy travel while participating in sports.

Extensive Entertainment Facilities

In Singapore, not only are there large, nature-rich parks located throughout the island, but there are also well-maintained attractions such as zoos and botanical gardens. Entertainment facilities like cinemas and bowling alleys are also plentiful.

Additionally, Sentosa Island, located south of Singapore, is home to many leisure facilities.

In 2010, Universal Studios Singapore opened, and it has since become particularly popular with young people and families. Sentosa Island is easily accessible by monorail, cable car, or by walking along a seaside path.

Well-Equipped Beauty Services

Finally, let’s address the topic of beauty, which is a key interest for many women.

In Singapore, you’ll find international beauty products everywhere, so much so that you might think you’re in that particular country.

Additionally, while slightly more expensive than in other Southeast Asian countries, there are numerous beauty services available, including hair salons, esthetics, spas, and massages.

I personally go for a massage once a week. There are many options available, including Chinese-style and Thai-style massages.

Final Thoughts

As outlined above, Singapore offers a well-rounded environment for dining and leisure.

You can enjoy sports after work or go out with your family on weekends.

Whether you’re living alone or with your family, Singapore provides the perfect setting for a fulfilling private life.
